Family Pet, Watch Dog, & Laps. It does not shed or need it's hair trimmed; They Do Not Shed,So There is No Dander.
They are Very Devoted to their Family.
History Of the Italian
Bolognese: This breed belonging to the family of Small Companion Breeds originating
from the Mediterranean (Italy): Along with the Bolognese, Bolonka Franszuska, Maltese, Havanses, Bichon Frise, Coton De Tulear
& the LowChen all belonging to this Family. The Bolognese is an Ancient breed going back to Roman Times, the 11th
& 12th Century. The very Elite Ladies of Italy declared this little dog as their Favorite, & the dog was Mandatory;
"Fashion Accessories." The Bolognese was spoiled, perfumed & powdered and their coats were trimmed according
to the lastest fashions. The little dogs were given so much attention the French verb; "Bichonner," means: "To
Pamper" which helped give the original name "Bichon Bolognais," & now known as Bolognese, Italian Bolognese,
or Italian Renaissance Bolognese. During the Middle Age it was the Companion of the Aristocracy of Italy. It was the breeed
in Bologna, Italy & adored for its very Affectionate & Loving Personality. In the name of diplomacy these dogs were
given to other heads of State in Europe. Maria Sophia of Austria Loved her Bolognese so very much, that she had it stuffed
after is passed on. Many of these Bolognese went to Belgium during the 1600's as gifts to the Nobility & Wealthy influentail
Merchants. Even the Czar Czarina of Russia had a Bolognese. During the Russain Revolution the servents of Nobility saved the
dogs from the destruction of the revolution, & Russia is the basis for the Bolognese today. The Bolognese traces its ancestry
back to the 11th Century. It was the very Favorite of the Wealthy & Elite of Renaissance Italy. These Little Darlings
stand 10 inches to 12 inches in height and weigh 5 to 9 pounds, their Life Span is 14 - 15 years.
Our Adults are Tested Yearly on Health, Patellar Luxation & Canine Eye Foundation & all have
Tested Fine. Our Adult Bolognese are Registered through "The Bolognese Club Of America." The Dam & The Sire
both have Sereral Different Champion Bloodlines through out their Pedigree's as all our Current Adults are from Hungary
& Romaina.
